Inspired by scientific data about turning an asteroid into a spaceship to colonize Mars.

You would do well to read The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, in which an asteroid is converted into an interstellar space craft.
Scientists are proposing the idea for real now. 🙂 It has been a concept in science fiction since the beginning. I based my next series of scifaiku on asteroid mining and other uses, concepts taken straight from the engineers working on making it all happen. The poems will publish in Far Horizons in a few days. 🙂 This one is a sneak peek. 🙂
